Wednesday, 12 February 2020: Barrel of Laughs Presents Ben Thurston

Barrel of Laughs returns on February 12th with a barrel full of excellent acts from the Westcountry.

Out headliner this month is BEN THURSTON. Starting out in 2013, Ben’s mix of clever observations, one liners and stories of his own embarrassment and stupidity have led to him being heard on Radio 4 Extra as part of the BBC New Comedy Act Competition 2013 and doing gigs all over the UK.

Opening the show is JON MATTHEWS. Jon is an insightful stand up comedian whose work has been described as a ‘a hilarious post-modern commentary on politics and popular culture’. Full of irony, surrealism, self deprecation and political comment with a dry crowd pleasing delivery, his performances have created much mirth wherever he has travelled.
